Engineering is one of the most popular courses in India. It has been a popular choice for many years. In spite of the low number of jobs available, engineering courses are still being offered in universities today.

The reason behind this is that there are many engineering colleges in India and they need to fill their seats with students. Engineering colleges also have a better reputation than other courses like law or medicine, which also have low job prospects but high demand.

There are also other reasons why students choose engineering over other subjects like law or medicine. One reason is that they believe that engineering will provide them with more lucrative jobs than law or medicine would, which are not seen as prestigious as an engineer's profession. Another reason is that parents want their children to work in fields where they feel secure from Job security.

So is Engineering really giving you a good start in your Career or a good salary?

India Skills Report 2021: More than half of BTech graduates lack tech skills; women are more employable.

In 2021, only 45.9 percent of graduates are found employable, a decline from 46.21 percent in 2020 and 47.38 percent in 2019, the report stated.

Factors that makes Engineer's Unemployable

1. Outdated Syllabus - 19th Century syllabus is getting taught by 20th century teachers to 21st century students.

2. Mainly focused on theories not on Practical's , Teachers wants you to score in exam not in labs.

3. So many restrictions on the name of Discipline.

4. Four years of learning just for 1 Major practical and in that too teachers will just tell you not gonna help you because most of them aren't even completely aware of their subjects too.

5. Attendance is more important than Creativity & Imagination.

6. No skill learnings and Personality development.

7. Total 90+ exams and assignment every year , either you make assignments or either you work on yourself and get failed by internal marks.
